Join Ruach as a carrier relations executive (sales) and grow our global wholesale messaging network.
Build carrier relationships, source high-quality SMS routes, grow international traffic, and improve margin across Ruach’s wholesale messaging business.
Connect Ruach to the global SMS carrier community
We are looking for a driven, commercially sharp Carrier Relations Executive to buy and sell SMS routes with carriers and aggregators worldwide.
About Ruach Networks
Ruach Networks is a forward-thinking telecom and infrastructure company delivering reliable connectivity, cloud services, and sustainable digital solutions across Nigeria and globally. Our products include Ruach Hosting, Ruach Voice, the VoIP Billing System, Ruach SMS/WhatsApp API, Sportly.africa, and other projects.
Ruach Networks Infrastructure Limited is a licensed Nigerian telecommunications carrier headquartered in Abuja. We operate direct MNO interconnects, owned short codes, and Tier-1 international partnerships, delivering A2P SMS, OTP and verification, voice, and wholesale carrier services across Nigeria, Africa, and beyond.
About the role
You will be the link between Ruach and the global SMS carrier community—sourcing quality, cost-effective SMS routes from carriers and aggregators while selling our routes, including our direct Nigerian and African connections, to wholesale buyers.
You will own relationships, negotiate rates, and grow traffic and margin month on month.
This is a hybrid role: Monday to Thursday in the Kubwa office, with Fridays working from home.
Key responsibilities
Source and onboard new SMS route suppliers, including carriers, MNOs, and aggregators, with strong quality and competitive pricing.
Sell Ruach’s wholesale SMS routes to international carriers, aggregators, OTP providers, and enterprise messaging platforms.
Prospect actively on carrier networks, industry platforms, LinkedIn, Skype, Telegram, WhatsApp, and at industry events to build a strong pipeline.
Negotiate rates, volumes, and commercial terms, and send and update rate sheets to partners.
Coordinate interconnect setup with the technical team, including SMPP and HTTP connections, test routes, sender ID, and content requirements.
Monitor route performance—including delivery rate and DLR, latency, and traffic volumes—and act quickly on quality issues with suppliers and customers.
Manage partner onboarding documentation, including KYC, agreements, NDAs, and credit or prepayment terms.
Support monthly invoicing and the reconciliation of traffic and disputes with partners.
Keep the CRM up to date and report weekly on pipeline, traffic, revenue, and margin.
Requirements
OND, HND, or BSc degree in any discipline. Marketing, Business, Telecoms, Computer Science, or a related field is an advantage.
One to three years of experience in sales, business development, or carrier or account management—ideally in A2P SMS, wholesale SMS or voice, or telecoms.
Understanding of the SMS ecosystem, including A2P versus P2P, direct versus grey or SIM routes, SMPP, DLRs, sender ID registration, and OTP traffic.
Existing contacts with SMS carriers or aggregators are a strong advantage.
Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills, including with international partners.
Comfort with numbers, including rates, margins, traffic reports, and Excel or Google Sheets.
Self-driven, target-oriented, and responsive when working with international partners across time zones.
You must live in or close to Kubwa, Abuja.
What we offer
Competitive salary.
Attractive sales commission on the traffic and revenue you bring in.
Pension and HMO health insurance.
Work from home every Friday.
Direct exposure to the international carrier market and hands-on training in Voice and SMS routing and wholesale operations.
Room to grow with a fast-growing licensed telecom operator.
